Kim Gelé, Ph.D

Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis

I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. I work with individuals to build on their strengths, make healthier choices, and achieve greater freedom in their lives. I offer a supportive environment and work with you to increase your self-understanding and effectively make long-lasting changes in your life. I also offer clinical supervision for mental health professionals who seek to continue their learning. My office is in the NoMad/Midtown East area of Manhattan. I offer both in-person and remote sessions. See the Contact page for the current schedule.

About

I have been in private practice since 2002. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Adelphi University, in 2000. I am also a graduate of the psychoanalytic training program at the Institute of Psychoanalytic Training and Research. This comprehensive, purely optional, post-graduate training has significantly deepened my understanding of people, including their emotions, thought processes, and behavior and relationship patterns. I also enjoy teaching and supervising psychotherapy trainees at the graduate and post-graduate levels.
